At the Movies - Secretariat

I caught some of this on TV yesterday and the rest of it this evening.  I now want to go back and watch the actual footage from Secretariat's Triple Crown races.  I was amazed that the field for the Preakness was 6 horses and the field for the Belmont was just 5.  The fields have not been that small for quite some time.

There was a family stuff in the movie that was brought in insufficiently for my tastes.  I bet a bunch of it ended up on the cutting room floor for time.

Still, I enjoyed it.  I don't know if I would have spent money for a theatre viewing of it.
