Aikido Saturday Afternoon - 2/14/15

Aikido players:

Tim, Trey, Mario, Marvin, Dan, Gail, and Diego (a new student)

Ukemi:

1/3 of a double set for me.  Mario and Trey did some work with Diego on learning to roll.

The Walk:

Twice.

Mario and I then worked with Diego on some additional reps.

Releases:

Watched over the various pairs: Mario and Gail, Dan and Marvin

Techniques:

I'm not certain what Dan and Marvin worked on, probably Sumi otoshi and Kote Gaeshi

Mario and Gail worked on 1-10 left side

We had a discussion/demonstration of Sumi otoshi and Kote Gaeshi.  We worked on just and outside the arm off-balance and reacting to uke's reaction to determine whether the throw would be a sumi or a kote.
