Item of the Week - Baron Rollerball in Amboyna Burl
This week's item is a Baron Rollerball turned out of a fantastic burl wood: Amboyna Burl. Amboyna Burl is one of the most distinctive and sought after burl woods available today. With heartwood ranging in color from golden yellow to deep red, and with beautifully contrasting, straw-colored sapwood - not to mention an inherent, often spectacular, wavy grain pattern - Amboyna Burl makes this pen gorgeous. The specimen used for this pen has a wide range of colors in it.
his is a Baron style pen with a rollerball refill turned out of an Amboyna Burl blank with gold hardware. It has a nice heft to it and is probably a good size for a man's hand. The cap for this pen screws onto the cap to close the pen, or to the end of the barrel to keep it close while writing. This pen takes Hauser refills.
