Aikido Friday Night - 9/28/18 - Clear Creek Aikido/Wasabi Dojo

Ukemi:

Basic slaps and rolls tonight.  I actually managed to get most of a full set in tonight.

The Walk:

Twice.

Releases:

They both made it through their complete sets.

Techniques:

Willie and Laura worked on Shihonage, Tenkai Kote Hineri and Kote gaeshi.

Commentary:

None tonight.

Aikido Thursday Night - 9/27/18 - Clear Creek Aikido/Wasabi Dojo

Aikido players:

Laura and Jeremy

Ukemi:

Basic slaps and rolls tonight.  Moved Jeremy up to full rolls tonight and brought out the crash pad to make certain no damage was done. He made some great progress in not collapsing his elbow

The Walk:

Three times. Bending the knees a little bit more helps on the troublesome portions of the Walk.

Releases:

The both made it through their complete sets.

Techniques:

Jeremy and Laura worked on Ushiro-ate and Shomen-ate.

Commentary:

None tonight.

Aikido Tuesday Night - 9/25/18 - Clear Creek Aikido/Wasabi Dojo

Aikido players:

Laura and Jeremy

Ukemi:

Basic slaps and rolls tonight.  Moved Jeremy up to full rolls tonight and brought out the crash pad to make certain no damage was done.

The Walk:

Three times. We're still working with the mat and its affect on doing the opposite hand/foot pivot. I have a devil of a time keeping my balance when working in one direction. If we run the Walk 90 degrees of, it is much easier on that section.

The both made it through their complete sets.

Techniques:

Jeremy and Laura worked on Ushiro-ate

Commentary:

They brought in some furniture for the seating area in the lobby. It's starting to look good.

Basic slaps and rolls tonight.  Fewer tweaked muscles on the students tonight, so we did rolls. I even got in most of my regular set tonight

The Walk:

Twice. I'm still having issues with the off-hand pivot on this new mat. The mat is bouncy enough that I have trouble with my balance on this move.

Willie made it through his. Laura did not make it to class in time for releases.

Techniques:

Laura and Willie worked on Kote Hineri and Tankai Kote Hineri

Commentary:

Aikido Tuesday Night - 9/11/18 - Wasabi Dojo

Basic ukemi pratice tonight.  We were in the new building, even though we are not supposed to be in there yet.   We did do the basic warm-up slaps.  Laura and I did a couple of "laps" of rolls.  Jeremy has a sore neck, so rolls were off-limits for him.

Jeremy and Laura worked together.  They got all 8 in.

Techniques:

Jeremy worked on no. 3.  Laura worked on Kote Gaeshi with me.
